To St. Louis!

When I traveled to Chicago, my friends and I made a quick stop in St. Louis. It was 6 in the morning and may I say, the view was beautiful!

Unfortunately, i was not able to go inside of it because it was closed. I could just imagine how beautiful the city would've been!

The Abandoned Place

There is a place in Harlingen where most teens go take pictures, usually for their social media like Instagram or Facebook. I've seen these places, but never went for myself and that's because I live 10 minutes away. So I went for myself.

This place was so surreal! I had to climb up to the second floor using some old stairs to be able to this this art work above,

The first pictures were taken by me and this second one was taken by my friend. I was admiring the details of this artwork since it was the biggest one. I never thought Harlingen would have places as this but you have to search deeper to reach into places like this.

The Other Side of Michigan

When you hear of Michigan, you think "Ohh! Detroit!" Though I did get to see Detroit, I went to visit a small town named Hillsdale.

-------------------------------------------------

During my years in high school, I did a ton of college visits to find out with college was the one for me. My goal for college was to go to a university outside of Texas and luckily I got to visit a few universities outside of Texas.

I went to visit Hillsdale College and may I say, it is such a small yet beautiful campus. The students and faculty were so welcoming and i even got to make a couple of friends that I still talk to today.

Hillsdale College is mainly on Communications, so this school would have been perfect for me being a Mass Communications major! Classes were small and you really get to know your professor one-on-one and they will have time for you.

-------------------------------------------------

I have made a bunch of memories here at Hillsdale! Seeing the city can be nice but looking at the outdoors once in a while is a must. If you are interested in this college, I would definitely recommend!

The City of Chicago

One of my goals in life is to live in Chicago, IL. When I visited Chicago in 2014, I knew this was the place for me.

-------------------------------------------------

Chicago is known for the windy city, and boy were those people right. I got to visit the Willis Tower (or Sears Tower) and I had heard rumors saying that you can feel the building sway left to right. you can even stand on the glass over the city! It was an amazing experience!

What was popular when you hear Chicago is the Bean at Millennium Park.
FUN FACT: The bean is actually not a bean, it is a Cloud Gate. nicknamed It was nicknamed The Bean because of its shape. Anish Kapoor was the artist behind this sculpture. His design was inspired by liquid mercury and the sculpture's surface reflects and distorts the city's skyline.

If you are a fan of baseball, then you must go to a Chicago Cubs game. The Cubs are my favorite baseball team and the vibe you get from going to this game is amazing. Everyone is friendly, sing along to game theme songs, and the food is great (but also expensive!)

Chicago is a great city to visit when going out of state (or in the state.) I recommend planning out a trip with your family or guy/girlfriends if you are feeling adventurous!

Runaway to London

"It is not the walls that make the city, but the people who live within them. The walls of London may be battered, but the spirit of the Londoner stands resolute and dismayed." -George VI

-----------------------------------------------------

From all of the countries that I have traveled to, the U.K. would have to be the best one I have visited. From the food to the people, everything overall was the best.

When I visited London, I was doing a study abroad trip about Winston Churchill and World War II. Winston Churchill is one of my favorite historical figures, so I had to take this opportunity.
I traveled to Chartwell to go visit the home of Churchill and may I say, it was remarkable.

My favorite part of his home was his back yard. He has a rose garden that is still taken care of as of today and the roses are beautiful! It is amazing to see that people still take care of his roses though he is now not with us and that made me very happy.

At the end of this tour, I was able to go see there he rests at a local cemetery down the road. What was so sweet about this was that before he passed, he made it clear that he would want to be buried where his family is so they can all be together.

-------------------------------------------------------

When traveling to another location, whether it is in the same state or out of the country, I think it is important to go out and learn the history. You never know, you might be at the place of what you learned in your history class back in high school.

Meet Me in Paris

Whether it is during spring break or summer, Paris is one of the most popular cities to visit. With so much history, fashion and landmarks, why wouldn't you go? If you are planning to visit, here are some to places to check out!

---------------------------------------------

Eiffel Tower. When you think of Paris, everyone thinks of the popular Eiffel Tower. Consisting of 3 levels, you have the option of taking stairs ($6) or the elevators ($12). My friend made me take the stairs to go up the Eiffel Tower and oh gosh I almost past out. I am so happy that you can only take the stairs up to the second floor. It was worth it because you will get to see the entire city of Paris!

The Louvre Pyramid. Of course I had to take a picture of me holding on to the Louvre Pyramid! This place is a must to visit because you get to see the GLASS pyramid (there is 2 by the way) and you get to go inside the pyramid, take the stairs, and go into the palace. I remember going into the palace, taking these random stairs and ended up in the pyramid. I don't know about you but that is pretty awesome.

Palace of Versailles. Yes, I had to go into the Palace of Versailles because I adore looking at the artwork up in the ceiling (and maybe because Kim Kardashian was there). What I did like about the palace was the Hall of Mirrors (located in picture below.) Though it is always crowded 82% of the time, but it is such an unforgettable view.

Notre Dame. This church is one of the most popular sites to check out! With such beautiful exterior and interior, this church is never empty. It is free to go in and you get the chance to walk all around to see the beautiful view.

---------------------------------------------
These are just some of the few sites to check out when going to Paris! Remember to take pictures, walk around, and enjoy the view! Paris is unreal and I would love to go back!
